Just took delivery of my new 2013 GMC Terrain Denali last weekend. I ordered the vehicle without actually seeing the Denali in person, and I am very impressed!
- 3.6L V6 w/ 19" wheels
- Navigation w/ Intellilink
- Carbon Black Metallic
The satin chrome looks so good on the vehicle and is a welcome change from the shiny stuff that has worked its way in to the automotive world.
The new V6 is a great addition and has plenty of power, especially on the highway. I have actually been getting better fuel economy both on the highway and around the city than what is posted on the window sticker. The transmission gearing is the biggest change. You can tell that GM finally tuned the transmission to match the performance of the engine, rather than aiming for fuel efficient shifts.
I was pretty worried about the interior, especially with it being all black and the wood. I believe someone else on the forum noted that the wood is one of GM's best in market, and I would definitely agree with that. The red stitching and the leather wrapped dash make the interior a great place to be. The changes to Intellilink and Navigation are also noticeable. This may seem minor, but I have been hoping that GM would introduce XM alerts for artist or song and they finally have!
The blind spot monitoring system is better than I ever could have imagined. I used to think that it was one of those money grab add-ons, but I can't believe how much I use it and rely on it already.
Notably, GM has also updated the Driver Information Centre with a fantastic fuel economy view. It shows immediate fuel economy, average fuel economy and best fuel economy using a graphical bar display. You can set over how many KM the best and average are calculated over: 40KM, 80KM or 725 KM.
Let me know if you have any questions about the vehicle and I will be happy to answer them!
