2011 Cruze 2LT RS Black Granite Metallic

So last month I picked up a new Cruze...I finally traded in my Jetta.
I went (like the title says) with a 2LT RS with the Black Granite Metallic paint.
The paint is gorgeous when clean, but it is a pain to keep it that way! especially in April when it rains EVERY DAY!

I wont be modding it much, just a couple of things here and there. Here is the list so far.
    - 15% tint all around
    - GrafxWerks.com rear bowtie overlay
    - GrafxWerks.com front bowtie overlay (messed up, reordered and waiting on it still)
    - Klearz dark smoked side markers

23xx miles so far and I'm averaging 32mpg.

I really like the car. I wish I would have gotten the Pioneer radio.
I just got back from a 700 mile trip to Windsor. Used the OnStar turn-by-turn. I really like the feature!!!

    Pics to come.

Congrats. Do you have the 16 or 17 inch wheels on this? Nice car either way. 2LT Crystal Red with 16 Alloys, Pioneer, RS, compact spare, and Sunroof would be my first choice for one.

they are the 16's. I wanted at least 2LT, RS, and sunroof...if they had something with the Pioneer or 17's, or the LTZ with the RS and sunroof I would have taken it too. I had minimums, the only thing I didn't want to pay for was the nav system.

Thanks for the compliment too BTW! I love your G8

I doubt you will miss the disk brakes in the rear and appreciate the extra sidewalls on cracked winter roads. Hope it gives you lots of reliable, efficient service.

I love my G8, but she is no cheap date for gas or tires. At my age, 40, a roller skate or ZR-1 makes almost no different on insurance.

That's one of the reasons I was okay with the 16's, cost of replacements. Driving 22-25k a year, I go through tires every few years...why add to the expense if I don't need to?

Personally I think going to 17" wheels on a car this small will have more negatives than positives overall. PM, IIRC, did a story on a VW Jetta comparing 15,16,17 and 18" tire/wheel combos. The 16 did the best, the larger wheels even returned lower MPG and in some cases lower skid pad #s. They were all the same brand wheel&tires. The went with that year Jetta because it was available from the factory with all those sizes.

just an FYI, the pics arent showing up. I would suggest using a different file host other than another car forum (that other members would have to sign up for)
