Stop posting pictures that make the current 3er look good. Never thought I would like this one, but it looks exceptionally good here.

You're just lucky my dad got an E90. If he got the E92, I would make it down right sexy.

And those dead bugs won't come off despite how hard I scrub at them......

I never liked the wheels to be honest, but its pretty nice! So is the scenery! (I'm guessing you live farther out in the county).

    Hey ChevyRev....

I spent a lotta time driving my buddy's 335i when I visited him in Laguna Beach this past weekend.

    Couple questions for you...
-- Do you find the window control placement annoying as heck??
-- Are your exterior door handles illuminated?
-- If you have an iPhone, and the BMW iPod interface, does it charge your iPhone?
-- What do you think of the performance?

My buddy added a chip to his 335i and it's now at 350HP... and that thing was FAST!!!!

Yeah, they are a bit too forward on the door.... But, I believe the issue was fixed for the 2009 LCI.

    Yep.

IDK, but I don't know why it would not. I always just pair my 3G via bluetooth with it.

Awesome. I love the low end torque. It just pulls and pulls and pulls. I bet people think I am hitting the throttle hard when accelerating from a stop, but I hardly ever go above 3000 RPM and most of the time shift at 2500 RPM( I always use M mode when driving it).

Yeah. I had no trouble pairing my iPhone to the Bluetooth system. But the iPod system wouldn't charge the iPhone. I know the iPhone is a bit picky with what cords can charge it. But I was surprised when I got the "This device is not compatible with iPhone" error on the screen.
It would read the playlists and iDrive could go thru the lists and songs easily. But it would not charge it.

I had always believed that since it's a USB system, it should charge iPhone, but apparently, you need an iPhone compatible system.

I had dug around, and even the system in the new Camaro will not charge the iPhone. So now I've got to re-evaluate these cars for iPhone compatibility. Mercedes and the Jaguar XJ specify iPhone compatibility specifically. But if the Camaro system doesn't charge iPhone, I can reasonably expect GM cars across the board to have the same problem. I wonder if Fords have issues with the Sync system??

In short... it's annoying. And it will be a deal-breaker for any car that doesn't have this capability.

    Oh god yeah it does!!!
The 335i I drove easily hit 6500rpm without breaking a sweat.
    The car Mooooooves!!!

A Cadillac 3-fighter will have an incredibly hard time with the 3-series. No wonder it's been the benchmark for all these years.

Especially when it gets the new N55 motor. While it produces the same HP and I believe 10 lb less torque( yipee!) then the N54, the torque is made at 1200 RPM. Down from 1500 RPM.

Your non-answer is taken as a disinclination for high tea and has been noted as such. You have been stricken from the invitee list.

Yikes! we don't get the Dame Edna orange lenses on ours. That certainly takes some getting used to. Having said that, I like the everything about the concept: handsome looks with out being audacious or intimidating + devastating performance in a small RWD package. What's not to like?...except that I don't fit

    How tall are you??

I'm 190.5 cm... and I had a good 4-5 cm... more headroom and decent legroom. Of course, the seat was all the way down and almost all the way back. But the room was substantial enough to warrant me putting the car on my list of cars to buy.... if I wanted a subcompact.

    I suggest you try it.

I'm 198 cm (6'6" in the old money). I just find the accommodation to be rather claustrophobic (and the 1 series feels like a straight jacket). That is one of the reasons I gravitate towards Commodores, though midsize ( in accordance with relative sizes within the Oz market) cars such as the Mazda 6, are acceptable.

If I could afford a BMW (which I can't) I'd really like a 530i with a manual box, which you can't get anyway. I'm one of the few people who think the 5 series is a beautiful, evocative design... with the correct choice of wheels.
