How does it compare to the Altima 2.5 coupe, and which one would you buy?

Very close in specs. I've only had a bit of time in the tC so far, but it seems to drive better and has hatchback versatility instead of the Altima's unusually small trunk, so I'd pick it between the two.

Possibly off the point of your article - Is it worth buying the TC new vs getting a more fun 1 to 2 year old used car.

New vs. used doesn't really apply to any particular car. It's always weighing the risk of early abuse and decreased warranty coverage of a used car against the higher price of a new one, sometimes with a particular car that's only available new or only available used thrown into the mix.

How about the fun-do-drive factor and fuel mpg vs the Altima Coupe?

I haven't had a chance to push the tC yet, but I'm inclined to give it the edge based on what I've felt so far. The Altima's steering is too light and it feels bulkier.

The Altima has slightly better EPA ratings; the tC is beating EPA with me so far, according to the trip computer.

Brady, just wanted to let you know in a subtle way that you're the one responsible for the know-nothings who have been piling on for my purlease of our excellent Chrysler 200 Touring V6.

If you hadn't posted that $25 coupon for "Drive an Optima," I would never have driven an Optima, been sold on its nads as a quality vehicle, and then been tempted by the good lease deal.

If not for Brady, the KIA dealers wouldn't have lied and lied because I wouldn't have visited them, and they wouldn't have suicidally sent me packing to the competition. In this case, the local friendly neighborhood Chrysler dealer.

If not for that, we wouldn't have been tempted by the even better Chrysler lease deal, and after test driving all two of the 200s they had on the lot, and actually considering turning in all three of our we-hold-the-title cars to purchase one outright, and lease one 200, and finally leased the Touring...if, if, if!

Arrrrr, ye have loosed the dogs of hell, arrrrr!!!

I might have the opportunity to review the 2011 Kia Forte Koup SX Manual (I'll know by next week). I really want to see how these two stack up to one another.

The $18,995 base price seems good on paper, but options are pricey and can get the price of this car up there pretty fast. I still think this car should have always been the new Celica.

I've spent a week in the Forte SX sedan -- not impressive -- but never the Koup. Let me know if they fixed the clutch.
