What will Chevy's performance lineup look like circa 2015?

Excluding the Corvette, which will be smaller, lighter and faster.

Camaro: 6th gen Alpha. Smaller, lighter, better handling. GenV smallblocks, turbo 4's, TTV6??

Malibu: No known performance variants planned. Too bad.

Cruze: Cosmetic RS version for now. Perhaps a coupe version coming. I hope someone at the Ren Cen hears about the OPC Astra.

Aveo: Ditto on the cosmetic RS. I hope someone at the Ren Cen hears about the OPC Corsa .

Impala: The next gen Epsilon one. I'm betting on an AWD TTV6 version to compete with the SHO. Better late than never.

    Trucks???

Yep, there will be a VF Commodore-based car (w/eAssist-like hybrid capabilities) in there somewhere...

As a comparison, Ford will have a next gen Mustang (2014), a performance version of the Fusion, a performance version of the Focus and it's coupe version (Capri?), a performance version of the Fiesta, the Taurus SHO....off the top of my head.

I wouldn't bet on a spicey Impala. Remember the Commodore is supposedly coming here and so that will probably take the reigns as the flagship Chevy performance sedan.

So aside from that, the Maro, and the Vette ... not much confirmed on their agenda.

I think you'll see the CTS V series sedans coupes and wagons as well as the ATS V series coupes and sedans..

I believe we will see a naturally aspirated V8 engine in the ATS.

There is also going to be a Buick Regal GS sedan and possibly a GS coupe which has just recently been shown and its quite good looking.

The ATS V coupe has a lot of my attention as does the new Corvette

Hopefully one will have a dual clutch transmission.

There will also be a more capable off-road version of the next-gen fullsize truck, if you count that as performance.

The Impala makes too much sense. It's costs will be shared/underwritten with the TTV6 XTS and LaCrosse. It'll be a near freebie, just like the SHO was for Taurus (via Lincoln).

He said Chevy, not GM entirely.

It does, but that wouldn't be the first time GM did something backwards would it?

No it wouldn't be. But if I were a GM product planner, I wouldn't kill such a version of the Impala, just because there's plan to ship over some rebaged Commodores.

thanks guys and sorry for bringing other GM brands possible performance products into this thread.

I believe we'll eventually see an Aveo RS or whatever they call it..
    A Cruse RS with a 2.0 liter turbo 4.
A smokin hot camaro SS and Z28
and probably a V8 powered rwd sedan ..

In addition to the corvette and I'd suggest thats a very very full line up of performance products from Chevrolet. (even if a few don't make production)

Well not to veer this thread off into Impalacommodoreland, I wouldn't greenlight a new FWD Impala as it is. I'd bring the VF Commodore over here, including the building of the vehicle.
