Well, from that pic it looks good... but I hope it packs a V8 with at least 300-400 hp... keep in mind, it, being an SS, needs to live up to its tire-scorching legand...

I while back I heard it was going to use the 6.0L LS2 from the Vette and GTO...

I don't know if that is still legit.

I'm amazed at how fresh the TB has stayed over the years, and if it does indeed get the LS2 I'll be in love.

    If it does... TB SS=

And I'd be very satisfied with it, too.

But I think before they start pumping out these TB SS's, they need to upgrade the Silverado SS, add some more power to be able to better compete w/ the SRT-10... or do it at the same time... though, I do realize that the new trucks are comin out in a year...

Ya, it still looks good, but I think some minor changes/updates (edgier headlights anyone?) would do a work of difference and help keep it fresh... new rims, slightly higher riding, larger wheels, freshened up lights/grilles/bumpers... and I think it'd be set for a few more years, or until an all-new TB comes out...

It will probably get the V8 because of the ease and and expense factor. Those vents in the chevy bow tie bar had me dreaming though.... as if they decided to put the turbo inline six in there.

In the new GMT900 memo it says the Silverado will get a very mild restyle this year, almost like the Cavalier got before the Cobalt came out. I would expect those changes to impact the SS and I would expect the LS2 in the SS this year, it may debut with the TB SS at NY. I would also expect the 2WD short bed 6 speed to come this year if it will come at all.

The SSR has the 390 horse 6.0 V8, I would imagine the TB SS will have that exact same engine since they are on the same platform.

Great point giagastormer! Then Chevy would be able to advertise "the worlds most powerful midsize suv".
    My thoughts and random babblings...

If the Cherokee is considered a "mid-size" SUV than it would be the most powerful mid-sizer when the 425 horse SRT-8 model becomes available.
