I am interested in the 6th Gen 2016 Camaro, probably an LT1 with the 3.6L V6. I'm having difficulty getting top speed info for the various option combinations from the GM site data or from the chat function on the site. (This contrasts with BMW, who are very upfront about the effect of suspension, wheel and tire options on the limiter settings.)
What is the top speed limiter setting for 1) the base car with 18" wheels, 2) the base car with 20" black wheels and runflats, and 3) the RS option, which also has 20" wheels, and I think, runflats? I suspect the answer is something like 130/150/150 for these three combinations, but would like to confirm that option 2) above is 150 and not 130. When I read the C&D road tests, they seem to have access to this information for the options on the car they test. How do I as a consumer get hold of this?
My interest is primarily academic, but I grew up in a culture where the big questions were always around roadholding and top speed rather than the time to the quarter mile.
