Suzuki Reno VS Chevy Aveo hatchback

based purely on styling, what would you choose?

I am just trying to see what type of hatchback do yall prefer, the wagon style of the aveo, or saab style of the suzuki.

    No brainer

The Reno... Looks better, plus it has a better warranty and is a size up in class.

Reno hands down. It looks pretty good for an econobox. I like the taillights. It is a decent Italian design over Korean running gear.

Definitely the Reno. I saw a green show car Reno at NAIAS last January and thought it was really sharp. I like the interior details.

I think the Aveo sedan isn't a bad looking car, although the 5-door that everyone seems to like better has such a kicked-in-the-butt look that it looks like it was rear-ended by a garbage truck.

Look at the gas mileage of the Reno though. 2.0L 4-cylinder, and the automatic gets 22/30 ratings? Those Koreans just don't know how to get decent gas mileage.

I believe the Reno is one size up in the Daewoo/GM lineup. Hard to compare them then, it would be like comparing an Accord to a Civic.

They are not priced that far off, though.

Would it really hurt GM if they offered a longer warranty on the Aveo, if not on all chevy cars?

Reno. I like the gauge cluster and optional leather compared to the Aveo interior. But as things go, I will be getting an Aveo in the spring and will just have to enjoy it as is.

I like the Reno better was well. Its just a better looking car. The Aveo has such a squished look to its design. Oh and you are right about the gas mileage. I still think its funny that my 04 Cavy with a 2.2 140hp ECOTEC gets better gas mileage than an Aveo with a 1.6 liter 105hp E-TEC engine. BTW whats up with all engines being name ____-TEC these days?

Re: Suzuki Reno VS Chevy Aveo hatchback

Well, Suzuki Reno is actually an US version of Daewoo Lacetti, which in turn is a 5-door version of Daewoo Nubira sold in US as Suzuki Forenza.

In Europe, they are now selling as Chevrolet Lacetti in 5-door (hatchback), 4-door (sedan) and station wagon versions. Check www.daewooeurope.com/uk/ and www.chevroleteurope.com/uk/ for details (and please DON'T visit www.chevrolet.co.uk, it's a mess )

And yes, I do prefer Lacetti hatchback to Aveo hatchback... but it's too big for me. Actually, I'd wish Daewoo had made a hatchback version of Aveo in the same way as they did with Lacetti - straight out of the sedan version but with different rear window/door.

The Reno looks a lot better than the Aveo. Both outside, and certainly inside.

The Aveo is a nice car to sit in. It has a lot of room..

I think I like the interior of the Reno better, but the exterior of the Aveo Hatch wins my vote.

So lets see. Toyota lied about recalls. Lied about their HP ratings... I wonder how much truth is in their milage ratings..
