    Ssr

There are so many two seat convertibles on the market, but not very many fours. GM alone makes the Corvette, Solstice, Sky, XLR, and SSR. The only other fours are the 9-3, G6 (soon), 3, A4, 9-3, Mustang, CLK, and Eclipse (SC, DB9 and XK have too small of a back seat to qualify for a 4 seater).

Does anyone else think that the SSR might have been better off as a four seater? A car that costs that much and offers so little of the Corvette's preformance while being under the same brand has a questionable niche. That car has 10k. in rebates, so something is wrong.

Does anyone else think that by elongating the passenger compartment and shortening the trunk it might garnish more sales?

it could work... though in that case i'd make it a nomad wagon or convertible. and FYI, you forgot a couple of convertibles (and said 9-3 twice ), there's the 911, BMW 6, Sebring (the best selling of them all) as 4 seaters.

I did forget 6 your right. Ooh and the PT cruiser. I thought they stopped teh Sebring convertible though. And the 911 has such a small back seat it doesn't really qualify. The guy at the auto show said that Porsche designers felt that the car looked better as a 2+2 than as just a 2 seater. The seats aren't meant to be used.

exactly, the main reason the SSR isn't doing well is that most people rather have a Corvette, a four-seater would do better. A four door might do even better, as it would be the first 4 door convertible since the 1967 Contenental, giving it something special

No I didn't. They don't quailgy as four seating convertibles. The RSX isn't even a convertible.

I think the best thing GM could do for the SSRI is to put it in the Wayback Machine and undevelop it. Put the money they totally wasted into a new Camaro and Firebird.
