Have it changed. Transmission fluid unlike wine doesn't improve with age.

Get it drained and refilled with a new filter, not "flushed". It will leave some old fluid in the Torque Converter, but it's the safest way to do it. I always do two drain-and-fills just to be safe, usually 5-10,000 miles apart, then I'm done for 30-40,000 miles.

Is it normal for fluid to be light brown?

No, it should be pinkish-red. If it's a darker color then the fluid is burnt, which means it should've been changed a while ago. Sometimes changing transmission fluid when it's too far gone will kill it (if the fluid is really burnt then the trans is running on borrowed time anyway), but draining half and leaving half is always safer than "flushing" it. If it's "light" brown like you said, I'd still change it... But try not to wait until it gets that far gone next time. If you drive hard and fast like me, change it every year or 30-40,000 miles (I put that many on in about a year and change, city/hwy mixed), two drain-and-fills, a couple thousand miles apart. I never had to rebuild or replace a trans that way.
