Photos: SS Sedan on Dealer Lots

I always like to look at candid dealer pics, so I thought I would share. I think it looks best in red, which I'm not a huge red fan typically...

VF just looks so much more bulbous than VE.

Yeah the raising of the bonnet and boot definitely messed with the VE's awesome proportions but in real life you don't notice it on the sports models.

I was initially thinking a black one would be the best, but now I'm on a green one repainted limerock green with white diamond racing stripes kick.

Either way, I'd do some dirty dirty things in, on, around, and to that car.

Too bad blue isn't available like what they showed on that pace car.

I saw a white one on the road last week, that's the first one I've seen in person. The gray color isn't that bad looking. If you could get a tan or light grey (OR RED!)with that color, that would look pretty nice.

Can anyone explain why GM markets a NASCAR pace car SS in kick-ass metallic blue and then does NOT offer it as a color choice to the masses?

Why offer a desirable car with all the options if you're just going to end production of it in a couple years?
If GM were on our side, they would have done it right, not optioned and priced beyond many enthusiasts' pocketbooks.

Well looks like they decided to paint the front black areas gloss, rather than the matt black plastic of the release car...

Liking the SS more and more.
Drives a 2019 Cadillac ATS Coupe and a 1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA.

In the past, I've had a 5th gen Camaro, a CTS sedan and coupe, two 3rd gen Firebird Formulas, a convertible 4th gen Trans Am, a Reatta, a couple of Monte Carlos, an Avenger coupe, a couple of Cavalier hatchbacks, a Saturn SC1, and a Cherokee.

Re: Photos: SS Sedan on Dealer Lots

Does it look more dramatic in person than it does in photos? To me, it is a very conservative a looking car. On the other hand, it appears to offer a lot of the performance of a Cadillac CTS V-sport for about $15,000-$20,000 less. I can easily imagine a successful tradesman who might park one of these next to his bucks-up Silverado or a Corvette owner who might use this as a his daily driver. Those two demographics alone might get you to the often mentioned 5000 or so cars per year.

What is with GM and chrome wheels?

All those pictures above would look better taking that horrible looking chrome finish off for a gun metal grey look imo!

I'm sorry guys, I'm trying so hard to like it, but that is one homely car.......
