No Roof Panels in Some New Corvette?

I am the proud owner of a new 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Coupe. It is a 2LT automatic with chrome wheels in Long Beach Red metallic. I have never owned a car that has gotten so many compliments. It is awesome and then some! But that is not the story.

As a new Corvette owner I occasionally get surveys from some opinion sampling firm representing Chevrolet. The last survey asked me about roof panels. They wanted to know how many times I take off my roof panel. By the way the answer is zero. I sold my 18 year old C5 Hardtop to buy my Grand Sport, so one can say that I don't care about removing my roof panel.

After I finished the survey I began to wonder why Chevy wanted to know about my experience with regard to roof panels. Are they planning a Corvette that will not have roof panels?

Initial guess is they want to charge more to increase ATP, and are looking for how to get it the most efficacious way.

That's all they seem to care about anymore.

I'd pull the roof off any chance I got, but it's probably not worth it to me what they think it's worth.

We remove the roof in our 2014 every single nice day and even some not so nice days. We were extremely happy it was a standard feature. The coupe with the roof out is so much more attractive than the true convertible.

That is a freaking awesome looking Vette!!!!

I think the C7 is the best looking Vette in history, the C2 Vette is my second favorite.
