    Newsflash! Automobile Mag Loves Cobalt!

In the January 2005 Automobile Magazine there is an article on the new Cobalt. It is a one page review. Believe it or not the author (Michael Jordan) loves the Cobalt. Of course the SS is the favorite but he had good things to say about all the models. He commented on the refinement of the Cobalt and how Chevy is taking advantage of the faultering Civic and Focus.

He also stated that the car is basically a step ahead of the others in it's class when it comes to driving dynamics. The only negative is the steering being well isolated from road feel. Otherwise a completely positive review!

Hardy ever see a magazine road test that is critical of any model. These publishers know who pays the bills. I have no doubt the Cobalt will be a decent car, but in competition with Honda and Toyota, well, time will tell. America needs a strong profitable GM, recent reports of shutdowns in the new year are not good.

Should this really be a news article? It looks like a discussion topic. If there is no link or no text, then why use "Suggest a News Article"?

I have yet to come across a bad review of the Cobalt. I know GM/Chevy have placed high hopes on this car and I really see it dethroning the all mighty Civic. As long as they keep it as good as the pictures look the car cant be anything but a hit. Also many people say that is looks very "importish". And truthfully I think it does, but that seems to be the trend in America, I for one never look at a car and say "oh thats soooo European" <---There are exceptions to this This car is in the right place design wise and it will sell well.

So lets see. Toyota lied about recalls. Lied about their HP ratings... I wonder how much truth is in their milage ratings..

I have learned in my many years to take first reviews with a grain of salt. They usually give the car either too much praise or too much criticism. The truth usually comes out during comparison tests.

Lets hope it stacks up well against the competition. But by all of this good news that I keep hearing about the Cobalt I have no doubt that it should.
