    New Silverado Sedan styling

Just wondered how the new Silverado facia styling might translate to the Chevy Sedans...

Here is a less fussy version...

Here I adjusted the car to RWD proportions (wheels pulled forward) and slanted the grille a smidge plus rescaled the car to BMW 3-Series size.

So do you guys love the look of the new Silvy face and hate this, or hate both?

I'm interested in how American taste in cars and trucks work, and whether they are aligned or divergent...

    Re: New Silverado Sedan styling

The sedan looks too busy, too many elements going on. Perhaps it looks okay on a truck, but needs to be scaled back on a sedan.
I'm not sure I Like the changes in the new truck, although perhaps it's just different and I'll get used to it in a while.

    Re: New Silverado Sedan styling

I like it, but would like to see it more swept back from center to outside. The blunt face of the truck doesn't mesh well with the Impala design. Also, ditch the Z71 badge.

Edit: Can you color match the lower grill surround and make the 2 horizontal bars in it match the upper ones too pls?

Double Edit: Ditch the front air dam for a C7 Z06 front splitter, add black C7 wheels, and lower it till the wheel arch nearly touches the top of the tires.

    Re: New Silverado Sedan styling

Would it be possible to kind of crease the grille a bit? It looks too straight in that chop; a little depth would greatly help the look.

If the Impala had a blocky design, it would look good.

Here is a less fussy version...

    Simplified, more car-like...

Trucks have a certain design criteria. Cars have their own.

Mixing the two results in front fascias like the 2004 Malibu with its Silverado-esque full width chrome crossbar and that looked awful.

As bad as the 04-05 Malibu was, it was still better than the 06-07.

I like the less fussy version better, yet it seems to lack aerodynamics, is perhaps too blocky for a sedan.
Maybe it's just the difference between sedan and truck design!
