I don't know about you, but I much prefer the look on the front end (actually, the entire cars) of the Australian Holden cars than the Chevrolet'. I mean I'm just sick of that bow tie. What do you think...

Well, I would like to have Holden's sold here as a brand using certain nameplates.

Have an Alpha based Torana sedan, a Commodore sedan, wagon, and ute. A Caprice and Statesman and such. Would be mighty nice.

Would never happen though **sigh** profitability always wins (except in Maximum Bob's mind)

But seriously, try looking at the front ends of other Holden's. The Zeta's are just good looking no matter what.

To me the Holdens look dated and "safe" with an 80s feel to them.

Yes give me the Holden front end. I don't want a bowtie on the car however it would be so if it would to come over. When it does come over the first thing I'm doing is ripping the bowtie and incinerating it. Hello, Holden front end.

I think 80's is a bit far back. There is nothing wrong with not being "over the top" in styling. There are plenty of people comfortable with that because as you say it feels "safe" to them. Citroens have always been over the top but they don't sell because of that generally. BMWs were overlooked here during the Bangle period, sure they still sold but people were talking about them for all the wrong reasons. It pointed a lot of people Audi's way. My BIL bought an A8 rather than a 7 series because he didn't like the look of the 7.

When they start bringing Holdens here as Chevys, then I would think about it.
The Cruze series 2 front end looks great but not because of the grill, but of the little differences between them.

I wonder about importing the front fascia of the Cruze, might be an option. Would have a one off for sure.

I prefer Chevy front ends to Holden, but I agree, bring it here first and then I'll decide.

Re: Holden front end on Chevrolet cars?

I like Chevy's front clips better. Even the Malibu has more personality in its front end than any of those Zetas. Only the HSVs make it actually look something other than yawn-inducing. Kinda goes for most anything that's Holden, except for the new Cruze. Looks brilliant and better than the Chevy version IMO.

I would love for Holden to come here, but much of the product they'd sell here is already sold here as a Chevy or will be merging shortly with a current Chevy, so it would mostly come down to the Zetas, and that's hardly a good enough business sense to bring a whole new brand over here.

The Holdens look more modern and clean. The Chevy nose looks Toyota-ish.

I'd like to see the Holden Commodore offered by Buick, and Chevrolet offer their version as a Chevy ImpalaSS. See which one sells better. And that way people would have a choice.

I think they both need updating but each should keep their own identity. Chevy needs to keep the bowtie but it needs to be toned down and in any color but gold. Whatever color they choose should not fade after a couple of years or ever.
