fog light

    fog light

    I seen a pair of fog light assemblies on ebay I was thing about getting it comes with the swith and wires but I have to buy the grills... Can I put it on a ls and just cut the fender out? And it comes with a switch how do I hook it up to the factory switch?

    LS what? You haven't given enough clear info for anyone to help you.. Also, anything that requires you to "cut the fender out" is probably a bad idea..

    check to see if your car is prewired for the gm fog lights. for example, not all the 2500hd silverados come with the cab lights- but all of them have the wiring pre installed- its just a matter of buying the lights and the switch.

    thats one good thing about how gm loves to leave empty spaces on the low trim models.

    That isn't always true, for example the 2010/11 Equinox only has foglights available on the LT2/LTZ trim levels and the LS/LT1 have plastic fillers where the fogs go but a different wiring harness which has no wiring for the fogs and no easy way to do it yourself. I know the current Impala/Malibu have the exact same foglight assembly as the Equinox (different bezels of course) but I don't know if the lower trim levels are pre-wired for it.
