CORRECTION: 2015 Cruze will NOT have two new engines.

CORRECTION: Per the new 2015 GM Car VIN document, the 2015 Cruze will NOT have two new engines:

    • Engine Code B = LUV 1.4L, MFI, DOHC, Turbo, VVT, Alum, E85 Max.
    • Engine Code G = LWE 1.8L, MFI, DOHC, VVT, 103kW.
    • Engine Code H = LUW 1.8L, MFI, DOHC, 103kW, E85 Max.
    • Engine Code K = LEA 2.4L, SIDI, DOHC, Alum, E85 Max.
    • Engine Code V = LHU 2.0L, SIDI, DOHC, Turbo, Alum,
    E85 Max.
    • Engine Code Z = LUZ 2.0L Diesel, CRI VGT(turbo).

The red colored engines belong to the Verano lineup, not the Cruze.

Error stems from GM assigning same "P" Vehicle Code to both Cruze and Verano lineups.

    I appologize for my initial, over-anxious, mis-information.

LEA and LHU are both old engines. Makes zero sense.

These VIN documents aren't the best indication of future product. If you look at the original 2014 VIN listings, Verano should have the 1.6T right now.

Also, not sure what you're looking at but Cruze is listed with the 1.4T, 1.8L, and 2.0TD for me.

No 1.6L turbo?. And I highly doubt GM will put a 2.4L gasser in any of their compacts.

I find it sad that some people wish for GM to fail and can't comprehend any good news. A plausible explanation for this kind of behavior is that you have a miserable life so you wish the same to others. Cory Pham, Autoblog Poster

GM must return its divisions to being interdependent entities within the corporation. Decentralize and free the different divisions talents to foster brand differentiation and customer loyalty.

And the 2015 Malibu is bringing back the 2.4L BAS

LSA is still offered, meaning its probably the current V coupe.

Oh, that's right. Forgot that current coupe was staying in production a little longer.

This. Unfortunately, there's nothing too revealing in that file.

2.4 liter, unless they have an overstock situation, that should be the 2.5 liter. The bigger question is, will Equinox get the 2.5 liter in this model run?

The document doesn't even list the 3.6TT for the XTS. Also, those mystery Cruze engines have disappeared. If the U.S. isn't getting those engines, why would anyone else?

    Verano is P as well.

Bingo, we have a winner! Thus, the 2.4L and 2.0LT belong to the Verano lineup, NOT the Cruze...darn!
