    coolant level in my Sonic

This morning was 5*F outside and I used the auto start- I park in the street. Went to the Sonic and it wasn't warm at all. Took to the dealership and said reason was: coolant level in my sonic was low. After the dealership added more coolant heat works but wondering if anyone can shed some light as to why this would be the problem and is coolant really is an issue for the Sonic or the 1.4T.

Side note: no issue with owning this vehicle for 11 months Saturday and nearly 20K miles.

Would it be overstepping to suggest a slow leak? You bought it new? Dealer--warranty--fix it!

Could it have not been filled up completely when new?

Doesnt hurt to have the system inspected under warranty. Vanishing coolant is worth documenting for a warranty claim.

Hope it's not the heater core.
