    Chevy Europe commercial

I like ZZ Top background music.

Tag line "Make it Happen" sounds better than "Chevy Runs Deep" IMO.

Not bad. A little long but it gets the point across.

There is 45 sec. version of it available, the same message.

There are some chicks there I would pick rather than Chevy models.

There is a little problem not about the commercial, but cars starring in it.
Corvette - not available (at least in two Chevrolet dealerships in Madrid)
Volt - available only in Switzerland; 'we don't know when in the rest of Europe' - that's what I was told on Chevrolet Europe hotline.
Camaro - available in Autumn but only in SS trim in a market where a smaller engine is a must.

He must have been responsible for Cadillac Europe operations as well

    Could be.

On the second thought, this guy seems a bit old. He missed a lot of opportunities for sure if his last resort would be - the car.

I like that they show an Americanish landscape outside, hopefully it helps kill Korea perception

If You went to Chevrolet dealership in Europe, You would 'smell' Korea from a long distance. Most of the exhibited cars (unlike those in commercials) have tiny wheels, plastic wheel caps, black plastic side mirrors. (I don't even want to mention You won't find a Corvette there). They may do this to to differentiate Chevrolet cars from Opels but it doesn't work well for the brand's perception. However, I am not sure if it's not just a Daewoo perception because Hyundai makes everything to look upscale. Look at their lights, for me they look cheap but for a common customer they look elegant and 'audish'.

    Re: Chevy Europe commercial

The idea is good, but this is not a good commercial. Unless you try really really hard, it's hard to get the message, plus as mentioned, there is little connection to the Chevrolet brand and their cars.

I like Peugeot's try at a similar appeal to emotions better:

Sidenote: as you may notice, all the "shameful" vehicles in the ad are older Peugeot models.
