Yesterday someone with too much time on their hands launched a website dedicated to the new Chevrolet Jolt EV (ChevyJoltEV.com). One problem: the Chevrolet Jolt EV doesn’t exist, it’s a clever idea thought up by a marketing guy—that doesn’t work for Chevy, mind you—in hopes that execs would see his plea and immediately order the project.

Nevertheless, the well-done website did feature an actual car; at least, a concept of which. That car is the Tru 140S, which made its world debut in 2012 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

But is there an actual case for an electrified version of the Tru 140S? Absolutely, says its creator.

Not bad looking for an updated Mitsubishi Eclipse.

I'm waiting for the Chevrolet Dolt.

Give them to Chevy executives as company cars for being dumb enough to think that naming a bunch of new cars "Chevrolet _olt" is a good idea.

IMHO the JOLT EV as a CAR is IMHO NOT wanted until
"A" the price actually gets "affordable" and 30K+ IS NOT
"B" Gm+dealers step up with DC fast charge stations OR GM adopts/joins Tesla in the "supercharger" network

This is what could have become of the Tru140s if it could have been done as something other than what was proposed to start with.

I'd like to see it as a Cruze Coupe myself.

So would have I. But... just as speculation the proposal I submitted.

It's much better than Tesla's design, that's for sure.

Wow, that's a sexy looking coupe. GM already has the technology for that thing and it would make a real good commuter vehicle with 230 miles of range. A lot of people commute to work alone I think so no need for a back seat anyway. I'll bet that "Jolt" thingy would sell like crazy if it was real.
