Chevrolet comes last in JD Power Survey

    http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/ne...cturer-results

This survey may go some way to explain why Chevrolet is not the world brand that Detroit would like it to be - but to be fair, Vauxhall (GM Europe) was not that much better - both well beaten by the likes of Hyundai/Kia, Ford and the basket-cases of yesteryear, Jaguar Land Rover.

How can GM perform so much better in the USA? What is GM doing wrong?

Interesting that the Japanese makes do not dominate the top 10, they are certainly in the top 10, but not owning it. It's surprising, and nice, to see Toyota way down at #8 vs. it's normally much higher showing in the USA.

Yes, but these results are probably indicative of Europe as a whole. If Chevy wants to be a worldwide name, this isn't the way to do it.

This is based on customer service satisfaction. Our Chevy/Gmc/Cadilac dealer in Lincoln Nebraska has a less than stellar reputation in the service department. Everybody in town knows it. Apparently this 67 year old man didn't know it when he bought a vehicle from them and expected them to stand behind it in the service department.

How can Land Rover always be on the bottom here, but over there its above Chevrolet?

I'm glad he was able to resolve the matter in a mature and adult fashion by pulling a firearm and getting himself arrested, he really showed them! Great journalism too, they didn't even say what repair he was denied, is this was passes for reporting in your town.

No, it was a slow day in the news. A better day would be a report about the 42 complaints they have received as reported by the B.B.B. in the last 36 months.

Keep in mind what the majority of the "Chevy" models are based on that make up this survey, they are not Delta based Cruze, but stale Daewoo leftovers.

Going to take a long time for Chevy to build up 'cred in Europe and why GM really needs to focus on Opel/Vauxhall now to generate the cash, the Chevy line needs to be pared to a bare minimum with the Cruze being the largest offering, other than Camaro which is a very small niche market model.

On a good note, at least the Brits support their home team (even though now it's Indian owned).

Sorry, but the "continental" Germans, Italians, French, and other Europeans do NOT take too kindly to being "lumped-in" with the British "islanders".

Ah, excellent then! The continental Europeans will vote Chevy #1 to spite the British. Chevy is now well on it's way to being #1 everywhere in Europe except for Great Britain.
