    Re: Camaro?

Good article, I agree with the sentiments.

Now if only we could get a Caamro/Firebird already...

I am getting tired of all the "bring back the Camaro/Firebird" to only be met with silence from GM.

GM should at least give us a yes or no answer on the subject. I think GMs loyal fans atleast deserve that much from them.

i agree. i think they should tell us if the camaro or firebird will be coming back. theres a market for the "pony cars" again, so it would be a wise option to bring them back. if they do bring them back they should be retro like the new mustang, which is one of my fav cars right now lol. im aslo hoping dodge brings back the challenger or cuda as a 2-door.

With my luck, they'll announce its just around the corner right after I buy my next car. Of course, I'd probably use up that car by the time the 'new' Camaro makes it to showrooms. Then, I have to wonder if it will be worth the wait or just more half assed junk.

    Re: Camaro?

From the article "Of course, there's another way that GM could look at it. Why does the new Camaro have to be as big a sales hit as the Mustang? Chances are that it won't be anyway, because the bowtie coupe never sold as well as the pony-car despite offering more power, at times, more gadgets and sometimes, more attractive styling."
The author makes good case up until this point. At least do some research before making blanket statements. The Camaro and Firebird did outsell the Mustang for years. Yes the Mustang outsold the F-body twins in the 90s and early 00s but 'never' is just wrong.
The term journalist does not imply truth rather just uniformed opinion.
In addition the theory GM should not attempt to generate as many sales the Ford's Mustang is just dumb. Why get into a race to finish second?

Personally, I take GM's silence as a 'no.' General Marketing has too many eggheads to realize the goldmine their ignoring in this growing market.
