They already gave guidance at 450 HP
Hope these numbers are correct because they sound great.
Those are the fact sheets they have with the press vehicles when we get them.
Falls short of the 392 Hemi.
Disappointed if those are accurate.
Don't pick on my car!
GM has done a masterful job recently of under promising, and over delivering which is evident with the Cruze Diesel launch so I will not be surprised if the final numbers are a bit higher.
I doubt it will be much quicker than the 436 HP C6 base vette, since it is heavier.
This car needs to be 475 hp, minimum.
The new motor makes more HP and torque and it will have better MPG, in a car which at its price point will be unmatched by cars costing twice as much and people are complaining. People need to chill out and realize they need to leave room on the table for the Z06 and ZR1 variants.
No This is an incorrect hp and tq number for the LT1

The power is what it is, regardless of what is claimed.
While it isn't the same engine, the 3.6 with DI gained 15% power and 6% in fuel economy.
In the LT1, a 15% improvement would be 64 horsepower, for a total of 500 hp. I'd guess that power is there, but perhaps not claimed initially for a lot of reasons, including insurance premiums.
