    C & D Loves The Cobalt!!!

    What a day!

GM Recalls 113,000 cars and trucks.
The stock is down another 2%

    BUT WHO CARES!!

    Cheer up everyone...

Pick up the 04/05 issue of Car & Driver and read the Cobalt review!!

I think they have us confused with a Toyota.

    Article Quote:

"In the past, GM's promise of reform have been followed by the unleashing of some real dogs. The Ion and Aztek come to mind. If the endearing Cobalt is any indication of where the company is headed, somebody at GM has finally found a compass that works."

Thank God! We sure could use some good news!

Now all we have to do is get past the full road test next month in Consumer Reports.

So lets see. Toyota lied about recalls. Lied about their HP ratings... I wonder how much truth is in their milage ratings..

Yeah I have the issue, I was somewhat surprised as well. I like how Lutz used the C&D article to tear WSJ a new one.

Yeah, one of my favorite articles in C&D. Finally they give us an umbiased review of a GM vehicle.

And also GM finally built a car that doesn't give them anything to complain about.

C/D is not biased, GM just makes alot of crappy cars. Which kinda exposes your bias.

I keep telling yall, CR is the one to go after. They are very biased. Car and Driver will simply choose the car that is more fun to drive, or is faster, etc. CR will choose a honda or toyota regardless.

Ya, CD is more about enthusiasm, fun, and reputation... unfortunately, GM doesn't exactly have a large group of cars that fit all that... though Caddy is an exception, as is the Vette (still tryin to figure out how the Vette placed better than the 911 but below the Boxster... lol)

Oh well... I still like C/D, even if they do report bias opinions sometimes...

I've never thought of C&D as very biased, though they sometimes show signs of bias through their articles. Has anyone ever thought that C&D and the media are not biased but in fact GM finally has built a class-leading car? You can't expect spectacular reviews without an outstanding product.

All in all, I'm glad the Cobalt got great reviews and the pictures C&D took of the red LS sedan look great. More cheers to GM!

MotorTrend is definitely the most biased. Road & Track is the least. Car and Driver is in the middle somewhere.
