    Automobile Magazine 2016 Volt Review

Charging Ahead: 2016 Chevrolet Volt Review
    Arthur St. Antoine/Automobile magazine

Another very positive article on the 2016 volt:

If nothing else had changed, the boost in EV capability alone would merit uncorking a magnum of celebratory Moët (increased all-electric range ranked near the top of current Volt owners’ wish lists). Well, better order that Moët in Nebuchadnezzar size: the gen-two Volt is way more than a better battery. If the outgoing car were a promising college quarterback, the new edition is Aaron Rodgers. The 2016 Volt is that much of a step up.

Ah what a tease. Now I'm really looking forward to test driving one. I was thinking of waiting till 2017 to replace my Gen I Volt. I'm not sure I can resist the urge.

Was it me, or did he completely neglect quoting HIS EV range? I saw what the EPA said.. but not even in the chart did he say

I want a performance Voltec line.

I know, it would take a lot of engineering revisions to any of the performance platforms (just as it did to make the Volt out of the Delta platform) to fit all the electric-drive goodies required, but it would be worth it.

    Well.....I'd like it.

(except without the gear shifting part)

Re: Automobile Magazine 2016 Volt Review

GM said the new Volt would "be better in every way". Pretty sweeping statement, but after reading the early reviews I'm inclined to believe they may be right. It sound like a perfect car for a very large segment of the population. Considering the various Federal and state incentives, I can't see any reason why this car shouldn't sell really well.

You're not the only one. An LTG mated to the Voltec system would create a pretty awesome experience - its what the BMW i8 does in a coupe form, and the next M3 will probably be a hybrid as well.

Performance cars breed brand excitement! Or so I've heard.

Really is a GOOD looking EV. Not "ELR good looking", but certainly good looking in its own right
