    2016 Malibu BYO

Just the other day when Camaro came out, I said I was waiting for CT6 and Malibu... go figure.

    http://www.chevrolet.com/malibu-mid-...-your-own.html

Not complete. No price for Premier and no hybrid it looks like.

2016 Malibu Premier is priced at $31,725 including destination. Pricing details here.

I know, I'm just saying the BYO is incomplete.

So I don't know if it's been discussed before, but is "Premier" going to replace LTZ throughout more of the Chevy lineup? Or maybe that's unknown at this point.

Based on that and the building option on the website, it looks like a loaded Premier will be ~35K with all options. Seems about right, as fully optioned Fusion Titaniums or 200Cs are roughly a few grand more but do include AWD as an option.

Yeah, I think so. I think it's a good idea. Time to evolve, Chevy. I think the Cruze has a Premier trim, too. I could see it staying on the Silverado as LTZ as it has High Country. Who knows, they could just go to 1LT/2LT as well.

LTZ gives me Nam flashbacks to old Impalas.

Stop with the steel wheels already! I thought GM put an end to those.

LTZ gives me Nam flashbacks to old Impalas.
I would agree. Cars and crossovers can move towards Premier, but I would be less in favor of that with their SUVs and trucks based on Premier not really sounding "rugged/ruggedly elegant" enough.

Platinum is so overused (plus Cadillac uses that name anyway) that I wouldn't be in favor of it. Ditto Limited. Imperial is a name that I love, but maybe too "fancy" for such applications. Might be better for Cadillac. Randomly, I've loved Honda's Absolute that they used in Japan. Not sure how widespread they used that name, though.

    Anyhow, now I'm moving OT.

Looks like they raided the warehouse and brought out some old Bonneville rims on the LS trim.

    Re: 2016 Malibu BYO

The configurator for interior color choices is really messed up. The pallet of choices is extremely limited but when comparing models side by side more color choices show.

What's especially strange is many of the choices listed as interior colors are unavailable on any of the cars. And some of those same colors that are not available show as color choices in the configurator. WTF??

For me, the 2LT has the best combination of additional chrome (dual exhaust tips), and distinctive/classy 18" rims.

When are these scheduled to be shipped to the dealers?
