That 8speed gave him victory.
Goes to show how important weight is! Obviously totally different classes of cars, but all the talk about the Hellcat does drive me nuts as it is talked about like it is unstoppable and unbeatable. It is a very cool car and I'd love to have one, but physics gets in its way of beating cars like the Corvette just as physics gets in the way of the Corvette taking 4 people out to the store like the Hellcat can
In your typical 0-60 or 80mph the Stingray will typically win stock. The Hellcat does not put power to the ground, but when it does they seem to run low 11's.
And what happened to this Z06? Let me guess, heat soak?
I'm sorry I love the Z, but that Helcat engine is a serious powerhouse. And when equipped with the 8 Speed, it's a true monster.
Sticky tires and those fat Dodges are fast as ****.
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit."
I mean, it wins. But it's a bit like showing a ATS-V winning against a 550i or something. One's really a different sort of car. It's nothing against the Vette. In terms of handling and general track performance, it's one of the world's finest. But the Dodge is a larger, two row coupe.
And when comparing stock (even against a Z06, let alone the standard car), the Hellcat is a monster and we can't take that away from Dodge. They've built they're own sort of racing machine.
