2015 Corvette C7 Z06 testing at the Nurburgring Crashes

    from the article:
After we recived the video tp post we got a photo showing the yellow Corvette Z06 sitting in the middle of the track after it apparently crashed. We see the damaged front end and fluids leaking out from underneath while a track worker is sweeping debris.

At least it did not kill its test driver like the LF-A did with a minor crash.

If they did't test to find the limits of a car, they'd never know what they were.

Just did the factory tour yesterday, was told they're running preproduction Z06s but didn't see any.

I wouldn't really call the crash that killed Hiromu Naruse a minor crash:

This Z06 crash looks like a nice front end bump and rub on an outside wall. Hot corner? Clipped the apex a little too hard? Not the first, and definitely won't be the last on this track.

Exactly. And props to the test drivers that risk bodily harm doing it. We all get better cars for it...

    0-150 - 17.1?????????
    In C&D tests : 0-150 mph
    C7 Z06 17.8 sec 8 speed auto
    Lambo Huracan 13.3 sec
    Mclaren Mp4-12c 12.8 sec
    Porsche 911 turbo s 15.6 sec
    C6 ZR1 16.4 sec
Also 0-160 mph 23 sec! 186mph top speed. What a Fail..
I think it will be fast on tracks, but the acceleration numbers are slow... I bet its becase of the aero stuff on it... Why did they do that... GM is GM.
