    2005 Equinox

Looking at 2005 equinox, I believe it has the 3.4l, question is the 2005 still prone to gasket leaks?

No. Completely different gaskets, all metal frame like the aftermarket replacements on the other 3.4. When I worked in parts then we didn't stock the gasket set and had never sold one.

BTW, engine was built in China, and Aisan-Warner 5 speed was Japanese. One of the most trouble free launches I can remember. Had a few ignition lock cylinder issues that were fixed right away.
