    06 Malibu

Is the Malibu face shown on Edmunds legit? It looks nice; I hope it is. Does anyone know?

I think its funny that high preformance Chevies and Pontiacs might just be able to comepete with base V6 Accords. And they probably won't even have MANUALS!

    New Malibu:

    Old Malibu:

P.S. Comapare the New Malibu front to the Impala in my signature; has Chevy finally found a 'face' for its cars ?

Yeah thats what I thought too when I first read it. Congratulations GM, you finally matched the standard v6 HP of the competition ...but you messed up and put an SS badge on it.

Simultaneously, I like the new look better than the current one--and find it completely bland. It makes a Camry look racy beside it. Sounds like th Slightly Sport (SS) engine will be something like-if not the same as- the G6 GT's and base engine for the Aura off this platform, too. (Further muddying the differences between them all.)

    Correction:
    G6 GT = Malibu Base V6
    G6 GTP = Malibu SS
    ------- = Aura Base (I think)

    Actually it would be
G6 V6=Malibu LS,LT 3.5L 200HP(remember the G6 GT has the manual shift mode) and lower gas mileage
    G6 GTP=Malibu SS (3.9L 245HP)
    Aura (3.6L 255HP)

I think the new Malibu looks a lot better. I didnt really like the current look.

Don't forget the 2006 Malibu LTZ. Which I think will have the 3500 also. I will double check that.

I didnt include that because I dont know the full specs. If it will have the manual shift mode then it would be even with the G6 GT.

Yeah, it should have been the LTZ, but if they put a manual in it, and a decent suspension, it would be an okay SS
