    04 Malibu LT owners...

Mine has the 3.5V6 and to me it runs a little too warm at normal operating temp. The gauge stays just past the halfway mark. Does everybody else's run this warm??

It actually sounds about right to me. Most of my previous cars (including my previous 2004 Malibu LT) ran at around the halfway mark.

Yeah, that does sound about right. Usually, the gauges are off slightly in calibration, so actual operating temperature should be around 200 degrees (with most cars marking center as 190). If you want to be doubly sure, just drop by a dealer when warm, ask to check the actual temp. Anything under 215 should be fine....warmer would be a problem.
