Bottomless pit of losses and more losses ahead.

Bond holders will own that company eventually.

The Tesla 3--designed, engineered, and built in the US--thrashes an M3:

Barra ain't wrong, the future IS electric. The only question is when. IMO you're looking at +10 years for cheaper vehicles. OK but will Tesla survive as a separate company over the long term? Doubtful IMO. The obvious buyer is one of the Germans, probably Benz, once the stock is way way down.

You probably said the same thing about Amazon back in the 90s.

Or Apple in 1997. Saved by the grace of Microsoft. never say never. Especially with the Roadster and the semis coming soon.
I see the rebates are back in Ontario., for EVs, Tesla does not qualify (probably not yet).

I would point out that on-line sales is not where Amazon gets most of it's profits from. Unless Tesla has a high margin business like AWS up it's sleeve, it can't survive as is.

I too was a Tesla sceptic until I started doing my own research, and was shocked to see there is a viable way forward, especially with the China Giga factory. The high margin product you speak of is the S/X sales and the Auto Driving software, which is sold at a premium. We will see what the future holds, but I think Tesla is going to be around alot longer than its critics believe. Someone (Apple) will snatch it up before going insolvent.

All this angst and attention toward Tesla, someone please explain to me how Waymo is going to make money? Worth $80 Billion?

Tesla barely qualifies as a legitimate business at all. And didn't Amazon recently invest in Tesla's rival Rivian Automotive (which appears to be legit at this point, not a pyramid scheme like Tesla)?

I don't understand the desire to see the failure of a hugely influential and successful NEW American car company that has EVERY carmaker on the run, even the Germans which are humiliating themselves next to Tesla in their scramble to compete.

As people have been predicting the demise of Tesla for as long as it's been in business. At some point you would think people would get a clue.

Agreed! I don't get the hate other than pure jealousy that it's not their brand leading the charge.

The demise of Tesla in its current form is inevitable. All pyramid schemes are unsustainable and Tesla is no exception. Tesla has done a marvelous job keeping it going, that's for sure.

The uncertainty here is when that demise will happen, not if.

Tesla has produced over 350K vehicles last year and more this year, how many has Rivian made? Amazon invested in Rivian, and............Mercedes invested in Tesla and made over $300 mill profit when they sold their stock, how much has Amazon made in Rivian? Does Rivian have a factory in China going up as we speak, completion stated for summer, tooling moving in fall, production this winter?

Again, somebody, anybody tell me how Waymo is going to make money.

Those schemes have to have zero product while Tesla has lots of product and an amazing charging network.

Hell, if I didn't have one of the highest kWH prices in the nation I'd be looking at a Model 3.

Rivian is absolute ghostware at this point. One concept vehicle??? Yea, that's a GREAT rival to Tesla. People are investing in it because they hope it gets to be as big as Tesla.

You really do have to do your research. The level of tech and engineering is huge. Of course Tesla should have asked for more help manufacturing but there is so much more that’s about to be released soon that I thought was years away from creation.

Elon Musk, and Tesla are shining lights of American ingenuity and as such should be applauded.
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!
