Alfa Romeo LEA Concept Perfectly Combines Retro And Modern Styling

Alfa Romeo is credited with building some of the most visually-appealing road and race cars ever created, and while the following concept isn’t an official project, it does fall in line with the marque’s rich design history.

This particular concept is the brainchild of Luigi Memola and is dubbed the LEA, which stands for Linea Emozionante Aerodinamica. It is a low-slung, two-door sports car with an evocative design that beautifully combines retro-inspired elements with more modern components.

The side of the concept is perhaps its best angle. The front end features a pointed nose with a pair of round headlights. A set of unusual, solid wheels force you to look towards the bodywork where you’ll notice small doors and tapered side windows seamlessly connected to the windshield. The side angle also provides a glimpse of the rear louvers and spoiler.

Alfa is a money pit. They may not be around long in the US market.

Neat cars but just no strong demand here.

Interesting styling yet still has an overall generic race car look. Nothing tells me it is an Alfa.

Everyone in public that sees my wife and I getting out for our sunday date day always seem to comment how much they love her bright red stelvio ...

So many compliments on this cuv...

I believe people dont know where to get the stelvio...and thats what is ha,pering sales a bit...

I believe its a question of lack of dealer network...

Alfa and maserati should combine. Fiat should disappear and the abarth should join tje alfa maserati dealer network as a low entry vehicle...

This new alfa concept car is stunning...and if it was in the showroom and priced relatively reasonably id buy it...

Alfas are not always the quickest, the fastest etc but honestly the passion the italians instill in their vehicles even their cuvs is real.

The stelvio is a hoot to drive...

Just before deciding on a new c8 for myself i gave a few days to cinsider the 4c...

The maintaince of what my research showed the vehicle not to be for me. The stelvio i have is under warranty and a 36 month lease and so far its been awesome...

Im a little annoyed the stelvio calls for brake fluid flushing every two years and a timing belt every 3...

    A
Fa needs to readdress its maintance scheduling to meet the year 2019...

We are the gas and go generation...no more 24 month and 30k mile timing belt replacements...

For that alfa gets two demerits...

How am I supposed to cart around 3 of my portly co-workers and myself around in that for lunch break?

Those rear lights look like a bad photoshop job in the pic above...

Don't forget your 12 suitcases for a cross country roadtrip, if it can't do that, it's a dealbreaker.

Not to worry... it's the accessory belt. 2.0T Alfas have a timing chain.
It's also one of those "inspect at the recommended intervals and replace as necessary" deals.
Of course, they'll probably tell you that it needs to be replaced...

30K mile spark plug replacement and brake fluid flushes are pretty wacky.
They must think you're gonna be racing the thing.
Betcha a lot of owners don't believe it, think it's a cash grab and blow them off.
