Also nice to know that HUDs are 100% unique to GM.

Whoever said it looks the same as the previous model, is way off base. Much different, if not completely new.

Everyone knows MCE comes in Every 3 years or so, and The trucks have technology offerings you chose to ignore. Are you going to trade your GMC for this new F150 when it comes out?

Yes, but when was the last time we were begging for the MCE before the vehicle was even released, or a step-back in many ways to the previous generation?

Does HUD negate the need for a nicer interior or larger infotainment screen?

    Is HUD a no-cost option?

No, I am not a blind ovine.

I'm not even sure when my next truck purchase will be, but at this point the likelihood that it is a Ford is about the same odds that it will be a Ram, GMC or Chevy.

    Agree.

Appears (have to verify with actual production design) that Ford upgraded the materials of the interior (something GM really has to do) and enlarged the displays.

I hope GM's updated Truck interiors lean more toward the 2021 GMC Denali design and integrate the display into the dash (like Ford and RAM) and use at least a 12" Diagonal (estimate of the new F-150's) as it looks like a good size that would allow GM to retain it's current toggle switch design along the dash bottom (which I like). GM also needs to keep the Trailer Braking (on Right Side) and other controls in their current "Truck" locations (the SUV's moved the Trailer Brake to the Left Side).

GM's current dashes/interiors are not that bad outside of material quality, Display size and lack of color/fabric choices, the basic layout is sound with gauges and controls located where most truck buyers want them, they just need to offer more choices for each trim (like RAM). I can see GM retaining the current dash for it's entry trim levels where it is competitive with what Ford and RAM offer today and if the LT/SLE dash/interior was to become the "Base" one, it would be competitive.

Hope GM finally adds more choice of interior colors for the mid to higher trims, upgrades seat and storage in the base trims and offer more premium seating features (massage/adjustments) to higher trims and the materials must be upgraded on all higher trim levels as they are not competitive in 2020 with what Ford and RAM offer.

Other updates needed are adding Forward camera view to the Trail Boss (Custom and LT Trims) where it is useful when off-roading.

And will GM finally make more safety features standard on base level models?

GM has no choice but to act and act soon, now that Ford has shown it will make the necessary changes to the F-150.

I am not begging for an MCE, I am not in the market for a truck, and I will likely not be in the market for a vehicle until 2024 at this time, the Traverse just is too nice to get rid off and I just bought a nice Ford this past summer.

That Traverse interior is...................... a lot better than the 2012's.

    That Traverse interior,
It works, and I do not need a leather interior to be ‘fulfilled’. You probably think I cannot afford one... hahahahahaaha

Looks pretty different to me, full digital cluster with large touch screen in the center dash. Completely different dash layout with all newer and not as hard plastic looking surfaces as the previous ones. Hard to fully judge from these limited views here but i wouldn't call them the nearly identical interior layouts that the 19/20's have compared to my now 5 year old k series truck, in act i have actually more features then the current ones do. I'm just glad to see Ford jumping into the ring with these tech items because gm will now be forced to, like always for them these days kicking and screaming being the last one to the party, gm clearly is dieing for actual leadership right now imo!

    Are you hearing voices?

I didn't say anything about the seat material, nor your ability to spend, but leather/cloth is not what makes an interior good/bad.

Trust me, I get very well, that what someone can "afford" vs. what they "spend" can be drastically different. (which ironically goes both ways)

The Traverse interior is nothing to write home about, as you even defensively said "it works" I was just complementing you, because as weak as the 2013 interior is, the 2012 was a lot worse.
    (Even I would own a 2013-up Traverse)

I tend to buy a vehicle when I need one and shop when I need to shop for a vehicle. When we bought the Traverse, we looked at two primary things, warranty and 8 seats, Next was safety, and value for money, we picked up a $40K Traverse with 23K miles for $26K, 100K miles warrant, now 7 years later 169,000.00 miles, dealer maintained, still drives as it did, day 1, give or take, no major expenses...

Individually, I am sure Detroit's best will impress anyone who drives one. When compared equally, some pro/con's can be gleamed, but very subtle. I will say this about HUD's, I have owned several, not really a big deal to me, as I rarely used it.

Truck copied RAM front end, all in all, looks very ugly. No detail in side view, just slab sided.

Re: 2021 Ford F150 Interior Spied!

The 2021 F-150 interior picks up some exclusive tech to the segment, such as adaptive steering and an electronic gear lever that automatically moves to the park position in situations where it's necessary. This is Ford's way of integrating safety measures available on their dial/button systems without sacrificing the console shifter.

Adaptive steering is tech they have on some premium Fords and Lincolns right now, it should really button up handling. I have the system in my Lincoln and it's the first thing I always notice absent in every other car I drive, it makes such a big difference.

F-150 also picks up Sync 4, their new electronic architecture and only the 2nd vehicle to debut with it. There is also an Adaptive Hands-Free Cruise control system with face attention monitoring like super-cruise. I think they call it CoPilot360 Plus 2.0 (it's coming to most new Fords and Lincolns, the Mach E as well). Of course Phone as Key, 3.5L EcoBoost Hybrid, Standard Ford Pass connectivity, new multi-Camera tech, Adaptive Pixel LED headlamps, and so much more it's stupid.

So I don't quite understand all this "Ford is already obsolete" nonsense in this thread when I'm pretty sure nobody in here even knew any of this was on the truck. But hey, keep on assuming stuff.

And what's that about the F-150 looking lame next to the Escalade dash.....WHAT? Gah, people are incomprehensibly negative it's impossible to deal with them rationally.
