Do you think Chevrolet will counter and up the torque output of the 3.6L V6 in the Camaro to be competitive with this Mustang ? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA !! Just kidding.

Ive never really been a fan of four cylinder pony cars yet fords increase in performance of its ecoboost turbo 4 is impressive.

Maybe gm will put its 310 hp turbo four recently introduced for its pickup truck into tje camaro?

The 3.6 liter v6 in the camaro is getting along in years. When that v6 came out in 2007 it was impressive.

What always had me laughing was the ls3 v8 at the time cost the same or less to produce.

I personally think the v8 camaro and mustang would be the would be the way to go if your stepping up to a pony car.

Corvettes move to rear mid engine should leave room for the camaro to evolve past retro gen 1 design.

Meh....I really don't care for 4cyl pony cars. Had this been the 2.7 or 3.5 ecoboost I would have been all in.

I'm sure there are people who want it......just not me.

I'd love to see the 2.7TT in the 'Stang. It's a sweet little motor, it'd be spunky and fun.

Hmmm... I've been looking for a good boosted 4 banger for my TR4 and Volvo projects... might have just found it, never thought of the Ecoboost.

I believe FORD is selling the 2.3EB as a CRATE for projects and WANTS tuners to take to the EB like the OLD SBC V8

I would assume the 2.7L / 3.5L is NOT used as it would SHOW UP the 5L V8

I like that FORD is behind making LESSER versions desirable AND still affordable-ish

The big deal isn't the 10 horsepower bump, but the broader torque curve and enhanced responsiveness higher in the rev range.

The whole High Performance Package - engine, transmission, brakes, steering, suspension - makes what was already the best 4-cylinder pony car even better.

So I guess you think GM's misleading Q1 press release touting their truck sales as up, although they were only talking about Crew Cabs, is a-okay?

Good call, actually they do. $6500... hmmmm... would make these 2k lb cars scoot. Not dirt cheap, but a V8 won't fit, so got to get creative. Actually working on a Ford Performance project at this very moment, need to see if I can get supplier pricing next time I pop in for a visit.

Is this the same engine that's in the Focus RS? If so, hopefully they've fixed the head gasket issues they were having. I love a good V8, but I think a boosted Turbo 4 cyl is definitely cool. Hopefully GM will slap the new 2.7L Turbo engine in the Camaro and give the Ecoboost Mustang some competition.

JB, the LGX in the Camaro debuted in 2016 and makes 335hp and 282tq.

It also is a completely new block and sounds amazing. It's not from 2007.
"The car's brilliant and ... a great surprise, pleasant surprise for all Corvette lovers everywhere ... a huge shock to our competitors ... because I don't think anybody was expecting something that good. What pleases me the most about it was that ... I can say this is the first car that's come out, that was done since I left.

I had a 2018 Mustang Ecoboost Premium for a few days while my G6 GXP was having it's transmission rebuilt (under Special Bulletin 14404A). It was a sweet ride and I looked forward to driving it. My only complaint was the slight turbo lag upon hard acceleration - noticeable enough that I would not buy a 4 cylinder Mustang. It did have neat little puddle lights on the side view mirrors that shined a mustang on the ground! That was a cool touch that almost makes me want to buy one, but lack of a sunroof option was a deal breaker, too!

Ford as is expected excels at engineering via press release. GM has no need to counter because their 2.0T 1LE is already the car of the segment to beat.

I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!
