wow. Kudos to MonaroSS and ne_one. Outstanding work!!

I agree that there may be some confusion bringing back the "Cobalt" name...but then again, it is a good idea to have a sport coupe named "Cruze"?

I wish I could take credit for the "black chop" but it's not mine. I found it on www.cobaltss.net, but the artist wasn't identified.

I doubt we'll see a convertible, but what a knockout.

Wow... That coupe is just sick!!! (In a good way of course). And I'm also in the camp for the Black one posted further down. C'mon GM. You'd have a Major hit on your hands with this! Why can't you see that? This type of stuff is taking Chevrolet into BMW type territory and honsetly, I hope that's what they're aiming for. The first time in saw the LTZ truck interior for the Silverado/Tahoe I thought BMW. I absolutely love it...

An all new line of BMW styled/inspired Chevrolet cars and trucks would take away that 'cheap american junk' stigma they have attached to the brand. Granted, still keep classic Chevrolet design cues. Just make it look high end, high quality, classy and sophisticated at the same time. Please forward this stuff to Mark... I beg you.

Interesting idea and awesome renderings. One small problem though. You are commanding Camaro prices for your cars. They would have to slot below the Camaro to work in your idea, and need to garner the appropriate price tags. Your barrier for the top of the heap car would have to top out at the $25k mark with every option box checked on the order sheet. A base model Camaro starts at $22,680.

Those coupes are nice, but they should just be called Cruze, Cruze RS, and/or Cruze SS.

I won't say "should", I'd have preferred GM keep the Cobalt name or even Cavalier, but to introduce the Cruze while continuing on with the Cobalt name on another car would be confusing.

Plus, any performance package should be available on the Cruze sedan as well.

Otherwise you end up with a repeat of the Chevrolet Lumina and "Lumina Carlo"; a situation also seen with the Camry and Solara (Though when it came time to count sales it was suddenly "Camry Solara" along with the "Corolla Matrix").

    ------ Sorta Off Topic

Can Delta II support convertibles? What platform was Saab supposed to use for the next 9-3? The 9-3 convertible was very successful model for them and I would think any platform it intended to use would need to be rag-top capable.

Looks darn good, but the only thing I could see holding it back would be conflict with the Camaro.

Well shucks I hate you for introducing an idea I love and actually would consider owning as a daily driver. Great work, but your an ass.

That's not YOUR coupe, this one has more of a G6 / Infiniti G roofline with zero headroom in the rear quarters. Your roofline goes to the very back of the vehicles in a fastbacky way. That's why I wanted to see how it would look like in 3/4s.

    Great looking coupe, MonaroSS.

I love it, happy to have the Cobalt name - give it some performance engines as options GM.

A 3/4 Cruse would be an Aveo, Bravada.

Agree that the 3/4 shot is incorrect, the rearwindow should curve gently, not angle sharply.
