I gave it a 9. I like the design a lot, and that it is a Corvette, but it is a little derivative due to its mid-engine layout. Wonderful execution, with the rear being the weakest view.
The crowd at the introduction gasped when the pricing was announced, then cheered.
A long time coming, but Wow, just WOW!!!
I'm guessing the base price will move up to $70,000 in a year or so, as it becomes a sellout at that price. Dealers will stick a $10k additional profit on it, then GM will raise the price.
a Ford GT at $450,000 will sell to only wealthy Ford enthusiasts.
I gave it a 9...2 things i didn't like both easily fixable.
1. Base Z51 spoiler, doesn't look right at all, the tall spoiler is much better
2. All the wheel designs suck, go aftermarket...I'd get a set of Niche Misanos in black
I am looking at this poll and I am wondering who voted 2 out of 10 and why? Just curious.
I wouldn't be opposed to 4 round tail light. Just sayin'.....
Pony Car: an affordable, compact, highly styled car with a sporty or performance-oriented image and an available V8.
As to the 2/10, this is GMI, I can't believe there aren't any 1's yet.
Overall it looks great. I really hope the overall execution is a sign of things yet to come from GM and its other divisions. There is nothing half assed on this car, which is nice to see.

I like the previous Corvette because it was more sedate. I do not want to be driving something like a Lambo or Ferrari
I saw a black one with M plates (manufacturer) on it tonight, and my thoughts were it is still so obviously a Corvette! In a world of SUVs, Priuses, and all other crud; when I saw it, it was "Holy Shirt, a C8!"
Not sure you could ask for much more. It's different, but you KNOW what it is instantly. THAT should be the goal. It is not supposed to blend. It is not supposed to be "like" anything else on the road. They hit the mark.
I gave it a 9, but I don't give 10s out very much. On the road, it is gorgeous.
