    Spy Shots: Nissan GT-R Prototype.

    2007 Nissan Skyline GT-R

Seen here testing at the Nurburgring test track in Germany is a Skyline GT-R test mule wearing a heavily modified body of an Infiniti G35 Coupe. To clarify, the G35 Coupe was named the Skyline in Japan since 2001 but never received an ultra-high-performance engine/drivetrain and therefore never lived up to it's predecessor's supercar status. But that's all going to change now with the new GT-R.

This is how the next Nissan Skyline GT-R will look like:

It may be only a Sketch for now, but the official Nissan press release, said that this is pretty much what the production model will look like. You'll get to see the real thing, in the next few days at the 39th 2005 Tokyo Motor Show.

Hmm, I dunno, I'm not liking the Nissan GT-R Prototype that looks like a regular G35 + wide body kit. The fender bulges make the car look porky. For fender bulges, there's a very fine line between muscular and fat, and this makes it look fat. The older skyline, the fender looked muscular. For the truely talented, fender bulges can also make a car sleek. Porsche makes their fender bulges look very sleek and sexy, Aston Martin makes them sleek and muscular.

Taking a closer look at these photos you'll notice the slightly more acute roofline, hood air-scoops, widened body with flared fenders, rolled out rear quarter panels and rocket launcher like dual exhaust pipes which is rumored to give way to 480hp from a 3.2 liter twin turbo V6 engine. Look for a price tag around $80,000 USD.
480 hp? Anyone want to take a guess where that kind of power might put a car like this cause I don't have a clue . Would it be enough to take on a C6? I doubt it would stand much of a chance against a Z06 but 480hp is pretty impressive out of a 3.2L with TT. Just wait until the tuners of the world get a hold of a couple of these things.

thats a mule if i ever saw one.

look at the doors - its a G35 body with ground effects etc to make it comparable for testing to the new body...

all the detail seems tacked on though, and the doors a look rubbish. its probably a plastic body.

Why would it not stand a change against a C6? The C6 is 400hp and RWD. The GT-R is AWD, 480hp+, with a 7 speed transmission.
