It is ugly and terrible to drive. Usually that combination works for Toyota but not for Subaru.

I wasn't even aware they made it in a Hybrid version.

How does Subaru get away with these ****ty 1980's interiors. Can you imagine if Ford or GM tried to put these dated interiors and **** in their cars?

Other than the awful nav/infotainment system in the top photo (which has been replaced across the Subaru model lineup with a much improved Starlink infotainment system similar to the one on the bottom photo), there's nothing wrong with the Impreza and Legacy/Outback interiors shown in your photos. Both cars have interiors that are functional, high quality, and devoid of gimmicks.

1980s Subaru car interior? Here's one:

1980s Subaru car interior? Here's one:

What? safe for the 'insert radio here' screen everything else is straight from the 1990's.. High materials? lol.. that is a sea, ocean and a whale of plastics. How much do they want for that legacy?

This is a 1993 Toyota corolla 3 Door interior

Not much improvement, now if you take that legacy interior Vs. Say a Cruze or Focus, then you realize just how much Subaru is able to get away with for people who do not cross shop.

That is a commuter car interior.

They get away with it because people like me would be happy with either of those dash/wheel layouts (except in RHD of course!). Not everyone wants gizmos everywhere.

I had an XT. Impressive build quality for its time and the interior was very nice with carpeted panels and solid switchgear. The steel was thick and durable too. Of course, it wasnt cheap for its time.

You can only imagine the sadness this news engenders in the Neanderthal Community, as I like to call it.

Not to mention the sadness in the Scoobie Doobie Doo community.
Well, maybe not. Nobody Luvvvv'd this Soobie. How sad.

    Community. Love. Subaru.

Those vents are too high for an 80s car.

I've driven ONE Soobie in my life. A circa 2005 Forester. Other than the seats, engine, radio, ride, looks, image, noise, and that it was the last car on the rental lot, it was a great car.

Neanderthal, I also have experienced one Sube in my life. It belonged to my parents and was a 1983 GL 4WD wagon and from what I remember of it plus the fact that it almost became mine, it was a pretty decent little car.
