    Mazda Commercial

Anyone seen this commercial? As a hater of imports I must concede that this commercial is clever and hits all the right emotions.

Bonus points - if you pause right when his license is shown you will see that his address is simply Springfield, USA. Brilliant The Simpsons Easter egg.

You might hate imports, but you can't hate new Mazdas. IMO, the best mainstream brand right now.

Everything they've done recently is great, drive them and you'll be impressed.

Well-done without too much sap like some tearjerker ads can be.

    Good message, well-messaged.

    Re: Mazda Commercial

Can I nitpick the fact that they got married in 2004 (at the oldest) Mazda3, his midsize is a 2013+ Mazda6, family cruiser is 2013+ CX5 (with a 3 year old in the back) and then the kid is off to college and he is gray and drives a 2015 MX5 .. I guess the MX could be second hand .. .but ...

it's a good ad, and I am happy we finally found the time travelers!

Haha time-travel issues aside, this IS a great commercial. I really like Mazda, the seem to be a company that genuinely loves driving!

Saw it on TV & had to look it up b/c of something I saw around the 0:17 mark ... a 1987-1990 Caprice! lol

But, yes, I agree about the commercial ... hits the mark ... perfectly.

Pretty sure that kid would get way more leg cruising the strip in that caprice than that weird roadster. Hey if he wants a two seat sports car he should have got a muscle car to get the ladies.

    Not necessarily.

The new one is going to blow the third-gen cars out of the water. It's lighter, a good bit faster, and better looking not to mention safer and nimbler.

I miss my 93, 97, and 03 but I'd be happy to trade up from my '06 to a '16 (once I find employment).

Yeah, but those girls hate their dads and grow into meth addicts.
