2017 Genesis G90 Named New England Motor Press Association’s Best Winter Luxury Vehicle

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 25, 2017 – The New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) has recognized the 2017 Genesis G90 as a winner of the Best Luxury Winter Vehicle Award. Today, winners were recognized during NEMPA’s annual meeting and banquet at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

NEMPA members evaluated numerous vehicles during the winter months to determine which ones offer the best winter driving in the New England region. The chosen vehicles provide winter-specific features/options and a safe and enjoyable ride in harsh driving conditions.

“We are honored that our flagship model is recognized as NEMPA’s Best Luxury Vehicle Award winner,” said Erwin Raphael, general manager of Genesis in the U.S. “This accolade emphasizes that our G90 distinguishes itself with high appeal and performance in all weather conditions.”

The Genesis G90 redefines the luxury experience at every level shaped by consumer-focused values, and delivers a vehicle grounded in performance engineering, innovative technology and premium comfort, especially in the harsh winters. An advanced H-TRAC® AWD system is available with either powertrain, for confident control under adverse driving conditions. This system features an electronic transfer case with active torque control and offers dual-mode Sport or Normal calibrations that are linked to the Intelligent Drive Mode. The H-TRAC system can direct up to 40 percent of available torque to the front axle in normal driving, for enhanced traction in adverse conditions such as ice or snow. The Genesis G90 is equipped to take on any storm that comes its way with the following standard features: Read more...

Unless you absolutely must have a huge car with V8, there's not much reason to buy this car.
The G80 isn't exactly small. The G90 looks almost exactly the same inside and out, just slightly scaled up.

Would be nice if folks would at least mention the manufacturer in their thread titles... unless we are supposed to assume an unspecified thread is about Hyundai. Come to think of it, it does feel a bit like Hyundai Inside News around here lately.

It's noticeably scaled up if you drive both of them. There's definitely a similar theme between the two vehicles but they do have different personalities...
