    KIA Convertible?

All that exists right now is a designerís rendition of the car, but should it go into production, you could expect to see it in showrooms by the end of 2015.

It's been a number of years since we last heard rumors about a drop-top Kia, but as the South Korean automaker continues to grow into new segments, why not stir things up again? Fan site Kia-world.net got its hands on what is claimed to be an exclusive drawing (click to enlarge) of the Kia Pro_cee'd GT Cabrio.

I have to interpret the lack of response to yet more GM-hate on this site!
BTW, this car has Rear Seat Leg Room!

Looks interesting. Reminds me of the G6 'vert. But that could be just similarities of being 'verts.

    Meanwhile, Cascada?

Yeah no, maybe, well....we got a committee together to decide who should head the team to decide where the meeting will be held, to decide where the committee will meet to decide what color the cover on the marketing proposal will be......

I'm not into convertibles from any manufacturer. For me, here in NC, it's far too hot too often to ever take the top down. Then when they're up they're ugly.

I think I would prefer the Soulster. It might not be very practical but it would probably be a pretty decent, relatively inexpensive, open air option.

I believe with the vw eos going away...this vehicle can find some buyers...

Last month the vw bug convertible was the best selling convertible. Then the Camaro, and then the Sebring..

All pretty much 5000 units for the month.

Hopefully the Kia will do well too.

    Open air motoring is fun.

I'm not a Kia fan so far.

I'd like to see a 2 seat sports car from Kia as well.

Why destroy the structural integrity of any car with a convertible....I don't get it.

Convertibles are that awesome...besides with the right engineering there's virtually zero flex (unlike the Buick Reatta convertible...they had so scrap a lot of those before sale)

That's why they'll continue making tin-tops for customers like you - but around the world, convertibles which are good conversions of a mass-market saloon/sedan, like GM's Cascada, will sell very well.

A cousin bought an Eos (WTF???) a year or so back. She had a Golf convertible, and was ready to do the George and Louise Jefferson gig.

Loved her new Eos, didn't love so much the two speeding tickets she got within a month of purchase.

    Because convertibles are fun.
