This is against the old hybrid, and regarding battery failures their subscribers have experienced during their ownership.

If true, makes me think Honda rushed things a bit with their batteries. It's new technology, and it's gonna happen, I suppose.

    I'm glad.

Honda's been making commercially available hybrids since at least '99. What the heck? :\

This model Civic hybrid is no longer on sale and the Civic hybrid as a whole has never sold that well.

They're just pissed because Honda keeps putting the food processor blade wheels on all of their hybrids.

Re: Honda Civic get hammered in Consumer Reports again

This generation of Civic is still a mess even w/the emergency MCE.
They should have skipped the MCE & went directly to the following generation.

Honda throwing good money after bad.

    !!!!
IF It's A Chevrolet & RWD, Don't ride in it!!!

ALL Chevy's NEED to be FWD/F-AWD!!!

    If it's a Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Don't ride in/drive it!!

Re: Honda Civic get hammered in Consumer Reports again

I gander that Consumer Reports didn't get their kickbacks from Honda this year, so they went on a tangent against them. You'll notice that the reviewers didn't get their front seats at the Knicks game this year or playoff tickets to the NFL playoffs, so they came up with some half-baked excuse on the Civic hybrid like fuel mileage is not the same as advertised.

Toyota got the check to CR early this year so Honda is now there punching bag.
