2022 Civic Revealed | To Spin off Cruze and Verano?

While Honda hasn't revealed the interior in full, the sketch provided gives us a good idea of what to expect. It's a major departure from the current model, going for a more minimalist, low, horizontal design theme. It's reminiscent of the retro Honda E interior. It will have air vents concealed by a mesh that stretches the full length of the dash. On top will be a touchscreen infotainment system that will be available in a size as large as 9 inches. It will likely use the operating system found on the Accord, which will be a huge improvement in appearance, responsiveness and ease of use. The instrument panel will be available in a fully digital version, as opposed to the blend of outboard analog dials and a center screen on the outgoing model.

Seems to have a bit more conservative look, reminds me of a Jetta.

iPad stuck on the dash, for the win!

Lately you have been letting your personal vendettas get in the way of reason. Unfortunate really. And Disappointing

Honda sharing EV platforms and tech does not = GM branded Honda Civics

Honda are undecided whether to sell it in Europe so this new Civic may be North America only - it doesn't make business sense to spawn competing versions in the same market.

And would it be a Cruze or a Verano if it was just a Civic with a GM grill and brand badge?

The Verano and the Cruze are dead and will remain that way forever.

Compared to what it looked like before this looks really good. It's even got a bit of a rear quarter panel(sail panel?) aft of the rear doors treatment like the Cadillac CT5.

I must say, I didn't even understand what he was talking about there, but sounds like a great idea to me, kind of like when my dad wanted to buy my sister a Saab 9-2 (Subaru) or Pontiac Vibe (Toyota Matrix) and they actually had a deposit on a Vibe for about a week.

Honda may pull out of Europe altogether - they're closing their European plant at Swindon, England, not due to Brexit, and seem disinclined to commit to staying in the market.

Glad to hear the manual transmission will at least be available with hatchback (plus performance versions).

Next ride, pre-pandemic: Maybe a 2021 2.0T CT4, weekend car, keep the Sonic as DD
Next ride, post-pandemic: Keep driving the Sonic!

It totally amazes me, none of the Big 2 1/2 can make a profit in Entry Level, while others make a living by them.

Entry Level means more than Cheap Car, it also means "Welcome to the Family" Family being Brand. Can I interest you in a Cash Cow SUV in the future?
