    2013 Avalon review

    http://www.autoguide.com/manufacture...ideo-2262.html

Looks like the 2013 Avalon will be a serious competitor in the full-size market.

Who else offers a hybrid option in that market segment?

Other than the hybrid there's nothing to set the Avalon apart from the competition. Its V6 isn't outstanding, and its competition is more stylish and just as luxurious.

I guess at least the LaCrosse needs a faceover quickly now to compete.

I'm liking the new Impala's chances more and more... The aging LaCrosse (which will receive its MCE for 2014) is still a more beautiful car than this Avalon... Toyota may retain its current crop of Avalon buyers, but I don't see a huge migration from Buick, Chevrolet or even Hyundai (Azera) owners/buyers/intenders.

Good to know thats already done.

Also, that big grille looks like it was snagged straight out of a trash can from the Ford styling studios.

Is that nose cone some sort of joke? Is this thing running a Ferrari V12 or something else that needs serious cooling?

And you Avalonians, enjoy the $1200 repair bill for a light curb whack job. Oiiiii!

The 2012 model actually looked dang decent but Toyota has seriously screwed up one of the best looking vehicles they have with this update. Just pitiful looking.

Can you be a peach , and tell Akio ( assuming you are on a first name basis with Mr. Toyoda) that he should perhaps reevaluate your employment? Also please tell him to fire the Avalong designer that was poached from the Fusion team or was fired from Aston Martin for becoming quite addicted to the chassis adhesives.

    Thank's a bunch

I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

I think the LaCrosse still looks good, but is missing nice LED-pipe style lighting to make it stand out. The last gen Audis have cool lighting.

At least the interior is still looking better than the Avalon's.

Listen, we can close this thread now. I rented a 2008 Avalonian and IT SUXXZT!

Now that that's settled. Does this black Soul make me look fat?

The New Impala is going to CRUSH this Avalon. If you do not believe me, wait until you see the LTZ with its 20 inchers. Looks like a million Bucks.

Except that it isn't full size.....

I love how Toyota can build a FWD car and get good reviews. When one of the domestics do it, the get panned and hard. Everyone turns their collective noses up and will chide them for using old technology.
    85 cars since 1975....
    Good night and good luck.
