What year would you style the new GTO after? I would pick the 68-69 era.

    Retro is dead. Bleah.

Make an all new aggressive design for this millenium.

I agree Rex. Many people will criticize a concept saying it's not pontiac enough or some other brand but you need new design as well you can't have the same cues in every car or they will look like clones.

lutz was quoted as saying something about in restrospect, they should have went with a more retro design.. in thecarconnection.com.. no doubt, its probably because of the negative feedback the gto has gotten from gto loyalists.

How about coming out with a design that fits in with the era we are in right now. I'm so sick of retro designs, design something fresh that has never been seen before. Dont go back 35 years and emulate a design of the past, because thats exactly what that design is-old, seen before. I was so glad that when the C6 was reveiled it wasnt a retro design like some speculated it would be (63-67 I think some mags were saying). Ford is the worst with this, first the T-Bird, GT, Mustang. Dont get me wrong, I think the T-Bird, GT40 and 64-67 Mustangs were great designs, but they were designs from 35 years ago.

this doesn't fit an era....but i vote for cyberianhusky's version which is found elsewhere in the forum that is a tremendous, unique, and realistic design. distinctly pontiac without really being retro at all.
