Re: 2nd Entry by ChevroletRevived-Includes Poll

Ya know what ?...I did not think I would like it with a Buick grille but, ALL BE DANG...It does looks pretty good ! I still rather see the grille design on your first one in this picture, if you can find a way to do that, it would be cool.

However, you as opposed to me, need to learn how to use more of the infamous "smudge" tool, and the eraser tool as well. When you paint a color into the effected area (in this case the headlights)...it only makes it stick out more, just a suggestion, blend it in, and or copy the body color from another area and erase (or blend i.e "smudge" the edges) of the over flow to disgiuse the matched regions of color...if you are open to this advice. I still am very surprised how well the Buick grille actually looks on a Chevy (?)...hmmmm.

BTW, you should post BOTH designs here on the same thread, as it makes it easy to see the difference between the 2 then. JMO.

Re: 1st and 2nd Entries: Poll

I did a little of what you said with the blur tool. I'm going to do more tommorow (Around the edges, right part of the grille's color, ect). Thanks for the pointers!

I think I can see the original badge coming out of the top of the buick one in #1. Was it a Lincoln originally? I can't see #2.

i really think that there needs to be three gm minivans, the terraza = town and country fighter, relay = sienna, guest, odyssey fighter, and uplander = caravan fighter, i like this rendition.

Re: *Updated* 1st and Second Entries

I updated both pictures. The first entry has a bigger Buick symbol, and I touched up the second (smudge tool, ect). I think they are about complete. The second pic wasn't working before (it had an x) but it is now, ocmdog. Thanks everyone for your comments. Keep them coming!

Re: *Updated* 1st and Second Entries

What's the deal with the 2nd picture?
It just looks like you changed the headlights on the current Terraza.
This is a design contest. There should be more originality involved. Even if your skills aren't developed yet. It can't hurt to try.

Re: *Update 1* 1st and Second Entries

I did a little more work/refining on my first and second entries. I THINK, but maybe not, the reason why it's so lopsided is because there was an x on the second picture for a while.

    Well that was constructive criticism.
How about saying WHY you think they are ugly, and what he can do to fix them.

Re: *Update 1* 1st and Second Entries

Would it be rude to say neither?

I'd say keep on working on them! I believe that headlights aren't enough to save the CSV. And the impression the Lincoln eggcrate grille creates with this big Buick emblem is not exactly to ma tastes.

First and foremost, CSV's have a terrible body shape and it requires a lot of work to change that. Perhaps you could start off something more appealing and turn it into a GM van? I'd take the old Astro and try to make it look modern!
