    Sportvan Monza, come on in

Pulled a retro name from the past, a long lost enthusiast's GM car, the Corvair, had a van called the Corvan. I don't like the sound of it so I took the Corvair Monza GT experimental name and combined it with the popular Sportvan.

Here's a new view of the sportvan with its open doors.

This makes it more a van coupe than a conventional minivan. I'm looking at additional access doors for other passengers/cargo.

Sorry, you can't enter thru the below the beltline windows.

    Re: Sportvan LSD

That's the point. The previous generations of minivans were initially the darling of young families and they were so good at delivering the team to the soccer fields. The minivan segment sales was so robust that it saved Chrysler. Soon, it became to be known as mom's limo, costco-getter, and the famous Bermuda triangle for favorite toys/snacks. It had the cool factor of a refrigerator (yawn). SUV's only became a segment blockbuster because the football (soccer) moms traded in their van-illas.
Intentionally it has to have a funky box theme, wondering why all the Scions (that's a real refrigerator!) are flying out the lot.
The next iteration should hope to be as exciting as it can. Hope that this van keys are not the last one hanging on the wall hooks.

'...working on additional access doors for passengers/cargo...' Doggy doors are optional. This could prove to be a problem during the rainy season.

cool looking but ditch the name. IMO the arbitrary alpha/numeric names have no meaning especially for a family carrier. Also, you may as well just call it 'Shrooms or some other halucinagenic drug from the 60's.

    Re: Sportvan LSD

The sportvan name is another retro reach from the GM past & LSD is just the Lambo-Style-Door description for the cool entry factor.

Boy, I have do market research for the 'right' name too.

    ...how about cool suggestions?

How about another name from Chevy's past?...the Greenbriar. Of course you might have to change the color then, lol !

I still like it, but Corvair Monza? Or perhaps you see it as having the engine in the rear? What's wrong with Astro?

    Re: Sportvan Monza

There are intriguing engine placements especially with mid-engined concepts for space efficiencies (Smart/Mitsubishi micros). Smaller hybrid/combo engines are packaged tightly under/around smaller platform structures. The Corvair was rear engine but was revolutionary for GM. This concept hope to break out of preconceived 'minivan' conventions...out...of...da...box.
