Some Pontiac sketch experiments of mine.

Some of my experiments I've done for about a week until now. They are not complete and don't have wheels and some without rear-view mirrors, but I hope you like them.

I know what you will say, that they are all same old, same old, and the front end being squished and low, but I kinda drew them as a Pontiac version of Corvette for some of them(well, most of them).

Upon getting some feedback on these, I will probably replace the one with some positive feedback with the Fiero I have enterred a while back.

Hope you like them. Some of them are much older than others, but....

1-4 are the best of your drawings I have seen, do more of this. 4 has the best glasshouse, not a big fan of some of the sagging windowlines. Overall good.
1 with 2s front would be my pick............9 and 10 also cool, although I'm not sure about the Grand Prix windows on 9.

Good job....... also like how one thread had a selection of cars in it.

something must be wrong, I see the same picture 12 times...
kidding but seriously, try some different shaped headlights, and less scrunched front end shapes. Hope I wasnt too mean.

These are actually really good, I love a lot of the coupes. Nice lines.

#9 looks great, only improvement would be to extend the rear overhang a tad so that there would actually be a trunk.

    Wow ... much better.

I quite like the upsweeping line up and over the rear wheel opening, with what appears to be an concave or indented area below. It looks really athletic and works well in the Pontiac context.

#1 is my favourite from a overall shape and proportioning perspective, though it does look a bit mid-engined (think Fiero meets Firebird).

That said, I like the front end of #2 better -- it's still Pontiac, but a lot less fussy than some of your other attempts. The front end of #7 is also interesting -- sort of referencing both '70s Firebirds and some of the Banshee concepts while staying clean and strong.

Keep developing these ideas -- I think you are on to something.

Wow, thanks for all the positive feedbacks, it's like a first time that I get this much positive reviews.

Here are few more. With the exception of the #13, rest are just a reworked versions of the ones you have picked. I hope they came out better, though I am not sure if they worked out.

I admit, I still have a long way to go to get that proportion right among other things, but I just want your feedbacks on these. I may change my current entry of Fiero with one of these, whichever one that gets the most positive feedback.

    Thanx.

16 looks a lot cleaner than the other ones. A little tweaking to the front fascia and a lower roofline would make a nice Firebird.

9 and 15 are the best in my preference, like the front end and windows.

1, 2 , 3, & 4 are nice quick sketches. 5 & 6 are Blah! 7, 8, 9, & 10 are not unlike the grand prix you drive and 11 & 12 are creeping back toward what you have been sketching all along. Don't go back to that. Its nice to see you changing up your styling, just don't get repetative and keep changing them ever so slightly. if it doesn't work, move on.

I understand your reasoning, however I don't see you entering all 16 of these sketches in the contest. Unless you're seriously considering using one as an entry, please post in the Reader's Talent section.

Back on topic, most of the drawings are nicely done! If you're going to enter one in the contest, I'd suggest #15. Pontiac needs a fast, efficient Grand Prix to save itself if you ask me. -AJR
