    Scale car model

Not sure if this is an appropriate place to show what I'm doing...Since 6 years, I'm building a 1:12 scale model from a '56 Continental Mark II. I did before a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado and a 1963 Studebaker Avanti.
To have a look at my build, you have to click at that link: http://forums.aaca.org/topic/145354-...del-scale-112/

Here is a picture from the Avanti. It seems that I can only attach 1 picture per message. If you would like to see other pictures, let me know.

    And from the actual project:

The roof is not yet permanently attached to the body; this will be done once all inside details are completed. I still don't know which outside color I will do.

    These are cool.
I gather that these models are quite large... about a foot and a half long?

Yes. between 40 cm (15.7") and 46 cm (18.1"). If the models were smaller, it would not be possible to have electric windows (on the Toronado and Mark II) and so many details.

Thanks! As a proof that I'm not lying about electric windows, here is the link to a very small amateur video I did some month ago on Youtube: WP 20160714 14 07 37 Pro

    Re: Scale car model

Fantastic job! I built some Hubley "metal models" when I was a kid. On the Duesenberg Town Car, I paneled the interior with walnut veneer and upholstered the seats with velveteen, but no electric windows!
I wish they all could be California squirrels!
